Draw section in AutoCAD, Following Steps
Open AutoCAD and Set Up Drawing: Open AutoCAD and create a new drawing file. Set the appropriate units and scale for your drawing. Draw the Object or Building: Use basic AutoCAD commands (e.g., Line, Rectangle, Circle) to draw the object or building's floor plan or elevation. Identify the Section Line: Determine the location of the section line on your drawing. This line represents the cut through the object to show its internal features. Draw the Section Line: Use the Line command to draw the section line. It should be a straight line representing the path of the cut. Extend the Section Line: Use the Extend command to extend the section line to intersect all the relevant objects you want to display in the section. Create the Section View: Use the COPY command to create a copy of the objects or building components you want to show in the section. Position them along the section line to represent the internal features. Add Hatching (Optional): To differentiate between the solid and void areas in the section, you can use the HATCH command to add hatching or shading to the section view. Add Dimensions (Optional): If desired, use the DIMENSION command to add dimensions to the section view. Dimensions help indicate the sizes and distances of various elements in the section. Review and Refine: Review your section drawing and make any necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and clarity. Save and Export: Save your AutoCAD drawing in the appropriate format (.dwg) and plot or export it if needed for printing
